3TR3ACM drill guards have been designed and manufactured for radial drilling machines and large geared head drill presses.

The steel mount which contains the anti-tamper interlock attaches to the side of the drilling machine with only two M6 bolts. The mounting flange is also reversable which gives additional positioning options. The IP67 safety interlock switch (Code MIC001) ensures that the safety screen must be in place before the machine can be operated. DC injection braking is optional, as is our dual-channel safety control panel as well as an additional e-stop or kick-stop. Our ‘safety panels’ contain safety relays and dual-power switching contactors. This system provides redundancy and fault tolerance, and it complies with current Standards regarding safety-related parts of control systems.

The 3TR3ASPCM special version with its compact support allows the shield to be mounted closer or centred nearer to the chuck. It may also be used to mount the guard to custom, fabricated brackets that suit your machines configuration. This guard is the same price as the 3TR3ACM.

Care must always be taken when drilling a geared head drill press as it will contain oil and gear components.
